Asahikawa Zoo
It should be done. I wondered if it would be cheaper about 200 yen
Yes, we have it. The detailed timetable is stated on the website of Knicks Park.
Opening hours are 9: 00-17: 00. Ticket sales will be until 16:30
Pretty good shows. Food in the park is great too. Nice exhibitions too. A good education place to visit.
the animals are cute
Good ample time to watch all the animal shows. There are 4 shows, seal, dolphin, penguin march and milky way show.
Amazing aquarium that isn't crowded by people blocking your view or blocking your way. You get to enjoy the exhibits at your own leisure pace. Every where here is so peaceful. It is well maintained and they have amazing penguin, dolphin and seal shows.
It is a very cute marine park with interesting show and try to engage bond of people and animal. I enjoy pengiun parade. There are many animal that allow you to touch. There are a lot of staff and they are so friendly. Strongly recommend to visit.
Good to see penguin walking.
Great place for family and kids
Many shows and activities to keep you occupied for the whole day
If you have small kids, this is probably a good place to spend the afternoon. Otherwise, I wouldn’t bother. There are positive aspects: dolphin and sea lion shows are entertaining, food is good, aquarium tunnel is cool, touch tank with stingrays is fun. But overall there are better uses of your vacation time in Noboribetsu; I’d recommend the bear park or Jidaimura over this. I was also put off by a few of the aquariums seeming way too small (sawfish) or having dead animals/floating bits (jellyfish), as well as there being no attendants at the touching tanks. The main show animals seemed well taken care of, but some of the smaller attractions I’m not so sure. I think they are the exception rather than the norm, but it definitely felt like certain animal exhibits had fallen through the cracks.
Visited here when the festival opened. There are alot of fun inside the park. It’s not so big but the visitors can spend the hold day with several activities. Cute penguins walking, dolphins show, sardines play with lightning, etc. Recommend to visit if you have time.
The place is beautiful but enclosure is way to small for marine animals. The sawshark is in a tank that is 110% his size. It could not even turn or swim. Dolphins are meant to be in the ocean and not be performing in a small tanks. We should not be torturing others for our entainment. Lets not support this as a tourism spot.
Those travelling with little ones will like this place. The performances are spaced out so you can catch one after the next. If you are concerned with animal welfare, then this place might put you off (refer to some comments left earlier).
Penguin parades are few times a day with no barrier between you and the birds in the open. Sea lion show was fun; pay additional Â¥1000 for feeding and photo shoot (a group of up to 5 pax). Dolphin show (3 or 4 dolphins). All shows are few times a day. You can touch starfishes, sea cucumbers, sea urchins and stingrays in indoor petting pools. Good value for money and plenty of fun for the family! Remember to buy 3-park ticket (cash only, valid for immediate 3 days) from Noboribetsu Bus Terminal.ðŸ§ðŸ¬ðŸ
Animal conditions are very cruel. Tanks are far too small for many of the animals. Very depressing. I strongly regret giving them money and supporting this business.
Nice penguin show... Sealion show also best
With interesting shows - sea lion, dolphins and a sardine show. The penguins also do a little walk down the area. An amusement park is close by but not open at All hours. It is a very small park, don't get your hopes up. I would not go out of the way to access this park.
Loved the dolphin show! Great variety of Hokkaido marine life and kids friendly. Strollers are available for rent
Small campus, but show is good...the facility are quite small especially for Sean lion and dolphin, poor animal...
This is a small aquarium park but it punches above its weight class. It won't impress for its scale. But the exhibits it does have are well curated and the shows are pretty good. Highlights not to miss are the penguin parade, dolphin show and the tuna galaxy show.
We had a nice time here..we love the penguins and dolphin show..kids love it
Have fun with penguins parade and animals show
For people who love cute animals!!!
A little old. A little funny .
Very dated, old school aquarium. Some of the shows can get packed with tourists when their tour buses offload them. Here on a rainy day which is quite ok as most of the attractions were sheltered. Very basic marine park with interesting performances and reptiles and some fishes.Ok to stop here for kids to see some marine creatures otherwise not very suitable for couples or adults.
Very good zoo, the price is good, many rare animals, environment is good, c/p value is high, by the way , the lunch is not expensive.
A good place for kids.
Good to go with children, not too big may take 2-3 hours for looking around include all show
went at early November, not many visitors. ðŸ‘
Old Museum But With Many Fantastic Shows! Not Crowded And Nice To Walk Around. Must Come If You Like Penguins!
Small aquarium that can spend within 2 hours. Love the dolphin show, sea lion show and not to be missed the Penguin walk.
Too small and too many tours rush into the shows at the same time. Crowded
The shows are super nice! Penguin walk is nice too cos can take a lot of pics. They have a few restaurants there and the food is nice.
Nice place, especially Gold Fish Kaleidoscope..
A small aquarium but the exhibits are interesting.
aquarium not big but d shows were attractive-penguin walk, dophin & sealion show, sardine fish dance..plus others.highly recommended.
Nothing really speical
Clean and fairly fun
It would have been awesome if we could see this place up close and personal. But all we had was a glimpse of it as we gained speed along the tracks for Sapporo after stopping at Noboribetsu Train Station.
The aquarium is definitely worth visiting! However, I don't like the penguin parade much. Let penguins live as penguin!
I love this place! Everything is so clean, organized, friendly and even cheerful. The presentations are adorable, entertaining and interesting. The food is all seafood and meat hotpot. The icecream is yummy and the signature of Hokkaido. This place may seem small but the castle especially is huge! They have more variety than the aquarium in my city. I have no complaints about this place except the tourists themselves.I would love to come here again any time!
Its a very small place. Most people come for the penguin walk but dolphin and sea lion shows are great too.
Good to bring kids to enjoy
Only soft ice cream is good
Nice marine park.
Admission is on the pricier side but good enough attractions for kids. Visited during winter so didn't get to go to the ferris wheel. Enjoyed the seal & sardine show. Didn't attend the penguin show so can't comment on that.
Nice show, dolphin, sea lion and penguin. But pity that these animals being subject to cruel puppet to human. Imagine if dolphin catches you and feed and train you to be their puppet to showcast in front of other dolphins as spectator that will watch your stupidity show. Anyway, this is marine park show meant for.. We paid to watch their show, right?
A great show
It would be nice if English instructions are provided
We visited primarily for the Penguin Parade, planning to stay only for 2 hours.Gosh we are so wrong, we ended up spending half a day. There are 4 shows which are scheduled one after another1) Sealion performance2) Milky way - Thousands of Sardines orchestrated by light and food3) Bottlenose Dolphin performance4) Penguin paradeThe main aquarium has some interesting exhibits such as Giant Isopods, pink snail fish and etc with many touch pools that my boys are struck trying to touch every sea creature present.
The penguins walk is just way too adorable!! Sadly, the stuff who walk with the penguins aren’t very friendly toward the tourists. Lol...I can see the reason why....but still being nice doesn’t hurt. Honestly, it’s NOT worth the money to go. The Ninja town nearby is way much better!
